The Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori wanted to ask the more than 430,000 young people who in the school year 2002 to 2003 participated in the project "The Quality Information in the Classroom", what are their needs and what role social recognize at the daily journal to satisfy them.
In the first part of this publication is proposed update of the results of research conducted in the classes - involving both students and teachers - during the months of March and April 2003. In particular, they frame the attitudes and assessments of young people and their teachers to the initiative, three years into the project.
The second part proposes the segmentation of the students in typological groups already used in previous years, as an important interpretative tool for reading the results and to investigate two specific themes: the structure of the needs of young people and the foreshadowing of the ideal daily.
The third part is dedicated to issues specific to this year: the newspaper as a tool for education and social opinional.
