To share the results of the work done in the first two years of execution of "The Quality Information in the Classroom" initiative: this is the meaning of this publication, the first investigation conducted by the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori in collaboration with GfK-Eurisko. The investigation wanted to establish a starting point for the annual studies and research Osservatorio. It was asked to the almost 200,000 students, from upper secondary schools in the 2001-2002 school year, participating to "The Quality Information in the Classroom" initiative, to evaluate the newspapers of today and how they would change those of tomorrow. Young people have enthusiastically responded to the initiative: for them this project is an opportunity to acquire new information and knowledge, to process them and compare them critically, to develop different skills, to gain awareness and have an active social and civic participation.
