Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, has accepted an invitation by Andrea Ceccherini to inaugurate the celebration of the 18th Anniversary of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani - Editori and will be in Florence on 13th October to discuss the future with a thousand students enrolled in the “Quality Information in the Classroom” project.
The leader of the Cupertino giant, the largest-cap company in the world, will inaugurate the new edition of the “Quality Information in the Classroom” initiative, the media literacy project of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani – Editori, the undisputed leader in Italy.
This project aims at developing a critical mind in young students and in the fake news and post-truth era has become a champion of one of the most discerning and modern needs: to train young people to differentiate credible sources of information from unreliable ones by teaching them how to recognize the trustworthiness of a piece of news.
A fundamental training in a democratic society.
This event, in the presence of Tim Cook, is part of the « Look to the Future » series of high-level public meetings organized by the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani - Editori, which over the past four years has gathered leaders of the Silicon Valley hi-tech world.
