Laurene Powell Jobs, Founder & President Emerson Collective, has accepted an invitation by Andrea Ceccherini to inaugurate the edition 2018/2019 of media-literacy project of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani - Editori and will be in Florence on November 8th to speak with a thousand students enrolled in the “Quality Information in the Classroom” project.
Founder and President of Emerson Collective, Laurene Powell Jobs leads one of the world's most active organizations in working to remove barriers to justice for individuals, families, and communities in the United States and around the globe. She will dialogue with about 1000 Italian students to inaugurate the new edition of the “Quality Information in the Classroom” initiative, the media literacy project of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani – Editori, the undisputed leader in Italy.
This project aims at developing a critical mind in young students and in the fake news and post-truth era has become a champion of one of the most discerning and modern needs: to train young people to differentiate credible sources of information from unreliable ones by teaching them how to recognize the trustworthiness of a piece of news.
