Andrea Ceccherini presenta Osservatorio for independent thinking, il nuovo nome dell'Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori

(Milan, Tuesday, September 23) Andrea Ceccherini, founder and President of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori, presented the Organization's new name and brand at a press conference in Milan today. From now on, it will be "Osservatorio for independent thinking."

Since its foundation in Florence in 2000, the Organization has carried out innovative educational projects and major events dedicated to the development of critical thinking and civic sense. These are even more necessary today, in an era marked by the spread of artificial intelligence and an ever-increasing need for citizenship skills for everyone. The Osservatorio has worked in-depth on this with Italian students in secondary schools and universities across the country, reaching millions of students thanks to the passionate work of tens of thousands of teachers.

In recent years, after consolidating its absolute leadership in Italy in the field of media education and economic and financial literacy in schools, the Organization has expanded its activities to an international dimension. It has been assisted in this delicate process of progressive globalization and growth of its scope of action by leading figures from the world of media, technology, economics, and finance, gathered on two boards: the International Advisory Council, dedicated to tech and media literacy issues, and the International Advisory Board, dedicated to economic and financial literacy.

The evolution of the Organization's brand thus accompanies a process of international and multimedia expansion already underway for years, which is now symbolically sealed on its 25th anniversary.

"Today, with emotion and pride, I announce that the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori is becoming Osservatorio for independent thinking. Let's be clear: we are not just changing our name today," explained Andrea Ceccherini. "Today, we are renewing a promise: to train millions of young people to develop the most precious skill there is: the freedom to think for themselves, to take control of their own lives. This is Osservatorio for independent thinking, a place where the future is not endured, but built. Together."

It is in this spirit that the new name and logo were presented: a name and logo that are immediately understandable and recognizable in all the countries where the internationalization process is leading—and will lead in the future—the Osservatorio for independent thinking to operate.
