Young Factor Europe

A sense of belonging to Europe and active participation in the social and institutional life of the Union stem from critical thinking and economic and financial education—now a universal language, an essential tool that must be mastered by young citizens who want to understand society and actively participate in it.
It is in this spirit that "Young Factor Europe" was born: the first continental-scale economic and financial literacy project, conceived and created by the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori to invest in the development of critical thinking and foster a sense of belonging to the European Union among young people.

The Project
"Young Factor Europe" is a digital initiative that aims to bring two worlds closer together that have drifted apart over time: young people and economic-financial institutions. To make this vision a reality, the project will be introduced as a pilot program starting in November in schools across six founding and strategic nations of the Union: Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Italy. The platform is offered completely free of charge to schools that wish to join, ensuring an accessible growth opportunity for all young Europeans.
The Objectives
The project sets ambitious goals to train the European citizens of tomorrow:
To provide qualified economic and financial literacy, essential for understanding the dynamics of the contemporary world.
To develop students' critical thinking, offering them the tools to analyze reality autonomously and consciously.
To strengthen the sense of belonging to the European Union by showing how economics and finance are central elements of the integration project.
To foster a constructive and permanent dialogue between the new generations and the highest financial institutions, such as national Central Banks and the European Central Bank.
To contribute to forming active young citizens, ready to participate in the process of building a Union that is not only economic and monetary but also political and social.
The Tools
To achieve its objectives, "Young Factor Europe" provides students and teachers with a digital platform rich in unique and authoritative resources. The educational path aims to provide a vocabulary of 50 key economic and financial terms over a five-year school period.
The main tools include:
Original video lessons on economic and financial literacy, designed to be clear, engaging, and rigorous.
Videos from leading national and international Media Partners in quality economic and financial information.
Exclusive Masterclasses recorded by top figures from the European economic landscape, including several Governors of national Central Banks and the Vice-President of the European Central Bank.
Entry and verification tests to measure the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the economic and financial fields.
The authoritativeness of the collaborations, which include Universities and Media partners, the digital format, and its completely free access make "Young Factor Europe" an unprecedented initiative, designed to transform economics from a subject for specialists into a familiar lexicon for all the youth of Europe.
